I can cut through anything, I think anyway.” Masami said, looking rather thoughtful for a moment. She slid the sword free again, and if hoping to prove the point she carefully angled the blade down to the metal base that the training dummy had once been sitting upon and pressed the edge of the sword upon it. Her hand moved slowly this time, and she didn’t place any strength behind it as she let the sword sink into the metal that offered up only a grating sound as protest. That and a faint ‘ting’ once the sword passed through to the other side and the whole contraption tumbled over.

Masami lifted the sword and gave it a flick sending out a dusting of iron shavings before returning the weapon to its sheathe. She scratched her cheek a little sheepishly, her gaze shifting from her partner to the walls of the room. “You think so? The lady at the front desk usually just complains about the work orders to fix things.” Well she hadn’t cut anyway that wasn’t made to be cut this time, so she probably wouldn’t be annoyed this time. The girl then looked back to Iris and her smile relaxed back into a more sleepy shape.

What about your spear Miss Himi?” There was a faint pause, only a moment before Masami added a quick, “-ko.

This time, Iris couldn’t keep her perfectly sculpted eyebrows from attempting to leap off her face as Masami pressed her sword against the training dummy’s base and casually cleaved it in two. There was no strain, no resistance, barely any effort as the obviously magical sword passed through the metal like it wasn’t even there. She eyed the sword with a newfound wariness, her prior impression of Masami’s sleepy energy conflicting with her skill and handling of the blade as Kūsho.

“Probably just complaining for the sake of it. It wouldn’t be much of a training room if we weren’t allowed to break things.” She gestured to the now prone dummy. People wouldn’t get much training out of that now, but that’s why the DDC had money.

“Oh, this?” Iris twirled her spear around, the different facets of rainbow glittering from the overhead lights. “Not quite as impressive as your sword, but still,” She twisted and plunged her spear into one of the still-standing dummies. It sank in easily, and although Iris tried not to show any effort in her thrust, it was still a far cry from the ease and effortlessness of Masami’s strikes. Still, she turned to glance at the other girl, a grin on her face.

“I think it does the job well enough.” She pulled the spear out, letting it slide through her grip until her hand was near the base before giving it a flourish. The weapon snapped and curved, transforming into a multicolored whip in an instant. “Plus, it can transform when I need it. Pretty cool, huh?”

Oh,I suppose that’s true.” The sword returned to its scabbard with a metallic clink and with it returned to her hip Masami turned her attention back to Himiko. Maybe she wouldn’t have to worry about the damage to the training dummies at all today, after all it wasn’t like she had cut the wall. Again. The multicolored glitter of Himiko’s spear was dazzling as she moved, leaving behind a trace of light as it slid through the air and embedded itself into the chest of a dummy. Masami wished she could do something as flashy as that, her sword never looked so glittering whenever she watched herself on a replay. Her sword just slid through things and then it was over.

That was lovely it’s so pretty when it moves” Masami said as Himiko turned her spear into a whip with a flourish of her wrist. That was very impressive, did that mean Miss Himi was good with a lot of different types of weapons? That seemed really impressive, Masami had never been any good with any weapon other than her sword. “Ooh, that’s amazing, can you make it into anything you’d like?” She asked, squatting down to take a look at the whip.
