☢From Crook To Cape

Milton Morris was a thief from Pittsburgh tasked with stealing radioactive materials from the University of California, Berkley. The job went sideways leaving Milton and his gang trapped in a shootout with police. In a last ditch effort to save himself he began turning on as many things as he could which caused the Particle Accelerator to overload and explode.

Milton Morris was a physics student from Pittsburgh who was pursuing his degree from the University of California, Berkley. One night there was a robbery at the lab and Milton was trapped. The intruders made quick work of the security guards leaving Milton with no choice. He snagged a gun from an office and made a break for the Particle Accelerator control room. Before he could lock himself in a stray gunshot struck the control console and the machine began to overload. Milton did everything he could but, failed to stop the Particle Accelerator from exploding.

Milton Morris did/didn't survive the Particle Accelerator explosion.

The sudden release of massive amounts of energy at the exact same time in two separate universes could theoretically rip open a hole in space time, even if only for a moment. A moment that, if you happened to be standing in the exact same spot in both universes, could theoretically fuse a dead man and a living one. That is exactly what happened to Milton Morris.

He became Schrodinger's human, both alive and dead, and imbued with unique quantum powers. Their bodies and minds combined giving Milton the combined physical and mental capabilities of a Collegiate athlete and a trained mercenary. He can also create portals which he uses in combination with his Quantum Entangled pistols to fight crime as the wisecracking superhero Half-Life.

With a thought he can switch from his normal human body to the body of his deceased self. Mutated by radiation to have Blue Skin and two horn like growths on his forehead. Rather than use a super suit he uses this form as his disguise.

☢Powers & Abilities

Wormhole Generation
Milton possesses the ability to open short range Wormholes that connect two points within 500 feet of him. The size of the wormhole affects how much energy is takes to open. Small ones are easy enough that he can open as many as he needs but, to open one large enough for a truck or bus to pass through would take far more energy and leave him all but exhausted (He has not yet been able to open a portal larger than this). His wormholes are a primary part of his fighting style on offense and defense. He'll open an entrance in front of a punch and an exit behind your head or make his bullets hit from strange angles. The key details being the space has to be big enough to hold the wormhole and within his line of sight.
Quantum Pistols
The two high caliber revolvers, Lefty and Righty, that were caught in the explosion with him became quantum entangled. When a bullet is fired from Lefty a bullet appears in the Righty and vice versa. As long as he has both pistols he has near infinite ammunition but, there is a quirk. The bullets themselves treat the target as if they have been shot and not shot at the same time. In testing this has lead to targets experiencing he sensation of being shot and are struck by the bullet without any of the penetration or long term damage.

Magnus's primary abillity imvolves the manipulation of Iron his body has processed whether that be inside or outside his body. This iron sand resides just below his skin. He can harden it to act like body armor, shape it into weapons, etc. Once iron has been digested it is under his control.

A. POLARITY FIELD
PMPD manifested in Lucius as a mutation to his nervous system, particularly afferent neurons, and a comutation with sensory hair follicles to create a conductive follicle system that generates a polarity field. This field assigns a polarity, opposite from its own, to particles that come into contact with it. This creates a consistent repulsion that prevents the particles from coming into contact with the subject. The field can function either passively or actively, with both states yielding different results. The act of switching between these functions takes around .83 seconds.

Passive function of the field is incredibly complex as Lucius has little to no control over the fields traits. Rather it acts as an autonomous defense system. CT Scans taken during usage of the field show activity in the same areas of the brain that control the fight or flight response. Threat assessment of objects entering the field is directly connected to the objects acceleration at the time of making contact.

Active function of the field requires direct input from Lucius and causes the entire field to condense into a sphere around his fist. Particles that the field makes contact with are repelled with enough force to break molecular bonds. During this time the field loses all passive defensive capabilities. Subject has also shown capacity for direct control over the fields strength during this form.

II. SUPPLEMENTARY MUTATIONS
A. ENHANCED METABOLISM
Gilgamesh's body requires higher than average caloric intake to maintain function. This has shown to affect how his body metabolizes nutrients and appears to help him maintain an otherwise unsustainable 3% body fat with no adverse effects.


B. MAGNETIC REPULSION
While the Polarity field does appear to work on non-magnetic objects it still displays magnetic properties when interacting with Gilgamesh's blood. It appears that his blood is actively repelled unlike foreign objects which are merely slowed.

Gilgamesh's hero costume consists of an Eggshell Luis Vuitton Single-Breasted Silk Blend Pont Neuf Jacket and matching Cigarette Pants, a Blue Silk Blend Long-Sleeved Shirt, and a golden Dior Lily of the Valley neck tie. All of which were made customer at his own request.

B. BLOOD INFUSED BALL BEARINGS
Small ball bearings coated in a silver painy that contains drops of Lucius's blood. These can be used, while the polarity field is in passive mode, as a projectile weapon.

A standard short-range communications earpiece has been provided, as per RoE for Incident Response Specialists.

Despite his powers Gilgamesh has received training in Wing Chun as well as Muay Thai. Despite its criticisms Wing Chun was found to be the most effective martial art based on subjects powers. It also played the best with test audiences. Muay Thai was chosen to compensate for Wing Chuns deficiencies.

A dulled silver dollar danced across Gilgamesh's knuckles in perfect rhythm with Roberts's words. Armed hostiles weren't anything new for him since those were the situations that displayed his powers best for the camera. Clips of him walking through gunfire had gone viral the first few times but, now they would trend locally for no more than 24 hours with cellphone recordings performing better than news clips. Nose mounted, gyro stabilized Ikegami 1080i's with up to 44x magnification mounted to the front of a singular news chopper that would monitor the situation from above.

The team he was operating with was another factor. He had made a habit of reading the files of all jurors in Mira, keeping an eye out for competition. The most promising metas were committed fully to memory with just the important details memorized for the rest. Both of them were fresh faces with minimal combat experience. Their powers trended them towards Close Range engagements with Mycelia's limited marksmanship giving her access to Mid Range engagements as well.

"They won't shoot the hostages." His words slipped casually into the conversation, "If they were going to kill hostages they would've killed one by now as a show of strength. But, you're right, we all can't go through the front door. I will since it plays to my brand. My absolute defense won't let their bullets touch me." He flipped through the security camera feeds for a moment. "The Atrium is too open for your powers Dragon, Mycelia and I have our only ranged attack options. She should move through the Bank Managers office while I attack from the front. The close quarters of the offices and vault would lend itself to your close quarters brawling much better."
 



He chuckled at her retort, took another sip of his water, and wiped a bit more sweat off his brow.

"I heard murmurs about that. Nothing too specific just that they were putting you on some dagger work. Honestly dagger work with us has to be very specific, dining with diplomats type operations. We're both just too damn good looking to not get recognized." He gave her a playful smirk but, didn't want to press if she didn't want to talk. He mainly wanted to reassure her that whatever happened in there was most likely not her fault. He'd never say it out loud but, she was an incredibly effective operative with the type of power that could outclass pretty much anyone on the roster. When the time came that he was sitting in the big chair, she was first on his list of people he wanted at his side.

Their conversation would be cut short though by the appearance of two other Cloaks. Cyclic, the head of NY's premiere team, and his twin Luminary. "I figured the first time we'd meet would be when they were giving me your job." He took the Juror's hand and gave it a firm squeeze.
