They are abundant enough that most traders carry the alien weapons as they provide top line defense against creatures and scavengers alike. Since the Alien races of the Koti-Tar where vast in verity same goes for their beam weapons.

However rarely you can find steel composite armor that can withstand a few blows from plasma and possible reflect some beam based weapons. Even rarer are explosive resistance ballistic armor.

The Mark-2 is made for busting down enemy lines and can withstand powerful blows without faltering. millions of Mark-2's are still throughout the wasteland however only about 30% are useable without maintenance. The only way humans stood a chance against them was overwhelming the operators of these armored suits was blasting them with nitrogen. These suits are Legendary rare.
Personal force fields and Cloaking tech: These items are still abundant enough that most people can get them easily through trade or stumbling across them. Personal force fields are pretty easy too find as they never seem too break easily. Often a vest type, PFF's come in verity of forms and strength variants. Weak points are the inner mouth and the eyes.

These creatures are the unfortunate souls that either got caught up in the original anti-matter explosion or just some fool who wondered into the Dead-Lands without a Clean-suit.
