Appearance: Somewhat short with an average build, usually dressed in a hoodie, t-shirt, and jeans, Orion doesn’t really stand out much. That’s by design, as attention is really the last thing he wants. Void-black eyes wrapped in dark circles never seem to stay in one place, those disconcerting silver pupils lazily sweeping back and forth as though he can never truly rest. His mouth seems set in a permanent frown, lips hiding sharpened teeth, his deep brown skin only marred by a single scar on the right side of his chin. His hair is twisted into locs which hang just past the nape of his neck, purposefully kept loose to hide pointed, fur-tipped ears.
Powers: Umbramancy - Orion has control over shadows, particularly his own, which he can use in several ways. As expected, his abilities are stronger at night and become weaker during the day.
- Umbral Teleportation - Orion can teleport to areas of shadow he can see within 15 feet, provided there’s enough clearance for him to physically fit in the space. While this is almost instantaneous, highly perceptive people might spot a thin thread of shadow passing from one location to the next.
- Cloak of Shadows - Orion can wrap his shadow around himself when he wishes to move unseen. This muffles any sound he makes and makes it harder for people to see him.
- Shadowy Sylladex - Orion can store small, handheld items within his shadow. This mainly means food and drink, but can also include small tools and trinkets.
- Moonlit Transformation - When he is in danger and flight is no longer an option, Orion’s shadow envelops him and he takes on the form of a large humanoid wolf. While in this form, his strength, speed, and endurance are all heightened well beyond his human capabilities. In exchange, he loses access to all of his other abilities, also becoming more aggressive and quick to anger. While he can usually transform at will, he cannot control it during the full moon, and can only change back after dawn. There are other moments when it seems as though Orion is not in control, however; moments when the wolf's normally silver eyes are replaced with void, moments that Orion cannot fully recall...
Orion's Shadow is the source of his powers. It is always with him, appearing wolf-like when he's human and disappearing when he transforms. It seems to be its own entity, and Orion can be heard talking to or arguing with it at times when he thinks he’s alone. Regardless of the form it is in, the Shadow seems incredibly defensive of Orion, keeping watch when he sleeps and even going so far as to take over when it feels that he is threatened. He seemingly has no memory of these incidents, but trusts the Shadow implicitly when it chooses to take control.
