Biography: Benjamin Danner is regarded as one of the world's first professional superheroes - as one of the founders of the Power Company, he and his fellow metahuman associates partner with municipalities nationwide to provide superhuman relief to extranormal ills. Like firemen hired to battle blazes, members of the Power Company respond to ongoing disasters and use their expert training, resource network, and unique abilities to quell the threat - whatever it may be.

Danner comes from a long line of super-powered beings. His grandfather and father alike possessed vastly enhanced strength, though they kept it private. Still averse to media attention to this day, they work ordinary jobs, and live ordinary lives. The same goes for Danner's brothers and sister. Benjamin himself, however, had other ideas. Called to action by his immense might, and with dreams of becoming a real superhero, he put all of his effort into making that ambition a reality.

The man cuts an impressive figure; his skin glows with an iridescent chromium finish when he activates his powers, and they keep him in top-notch physical condition. His easy confidence and intense professionalism in the field of superheroics - as expected of a born trendsetter - complement his suite of outstanding abilities. More likely than not, it is LODESTAR's physical durability and high capacity to exert force over his surroundings which instills such a degree of conviction in him. He is decisive, extraverted, and values achievement and efficiency. He does not hesitate before taking action.

Danner's income is derived from two sources. The first source of income are contracts with various municipalities to operate in their jurisdiction. The Power Company receives annual sums from local governments in exchange for promises to patrol for and respond to extranormal incidents on a regular basis. These annual payments are coupled with per-incident bonuses; the more super-crime stopped, the more pay received. The second source is from licensing his name, image, and likeness to advertising and merchandising companies. Danner has appeared in television commercials, on cereal boxes, and on toy shelves nationwide. A movie is in the works, though there have been issues with the creatives involved, and he is sponsored by a number of other companies seeking to cash in on his fantastic abilities.

While active in the field, Danner wears a chromium-finish battlesuit patterned after his supercharged skin for a seamless, statuesque look. He frequently sports a sleeveless, waist-length gilet with pockets for holding various things, such as ID and a cell phone. Danner wears a body-worn camera when active in the field as LODESTAR. He primarily works in New York City, but will readily travel for out-of-district matters.

Metahuman Aspect: Danner generates a significant amount of exotic energy on a regular basis, which serves as the fuel for incredible acts of super-athleticism. He is classified as a high power meta, capable of lifting significant weights, punching with enough force to pulverize an armored tank, sprinting fast enough to outrace a locomotive, and enduring ludicrous amounts of physical punishment, from small-arms fire to high-yield explosives to direct blows from other dangerous metahumans. Danner's reaction speed is significantly enhanced, and his reflexes are superior to those of ordinary men.

Through focus, Danner can absorb ambient energy to replenish his reserves, which causes his signature glow. These powers also keep him in the peak of physical health, and have dramatically increased his body's ability to recover from injury - however rare it may be. Danner can also willingly project and direct this exotic energy as a blast from his hands. It strikes with significant kinetic and thermal force, and depending on the level of focus applied, Danner can either release a directed energy burst which repels all matter in a radius around him, or a finely-tuned beam with enough precision to cut steel. Doing so, however, depletes his reserves of energy, and can rapidly exhaust him. Therefore, he uses such abilities sparingly - no less because they are frequently lethal in nature, and killing is really bad for the cameras, for mental health, and for the company's image.
