Embedded where Renoire's heart should be is an artifact known as the Malice Stone. The Jet black gem turned the ancient archaeologist into an energy vampire that feeds off of hatred. The hatred of those within his immediate vicinity is passively consumed and hatred directed at him can be absorbed from any distance. Those who he feeds on feel no adverse effects which helps hide the true nature of his powers.
Feeding off of this energy grants him superhuman strength, speed, perception, regeneration, & durability that allows him to stand toe to toe with those who would oppose him. He can rip a reinforced door from its hinges, withstand high caliber bullets, & even regenerate entire section of his body if he's fed off of enough energy. Its not all raw strength that gives him his fighting prowess. His status as a noble meant he was trained in sword play and combat from a young age.
The stone also grants Renoire the ability to conjure crystalline constructs out of hardened hatred. The shapes they form are jagged and rudimentary but, highly effective at putting an end to whoever may crosses his path. The spires he summons are strong enough to shred through armored military vehicles and durable enough to withstand their firepower.
Renoire always carries with him an ornate wooden cane with golden accents at its tip and pommel. The wood is embedded with fragments of the Malice Stone. By channeling his energy through the cane he can extended the range of his construct creation, craft mines, or even cause them to grow on command from within an object.
