In the beginning, only the Stars mattered.

Great Choirs as far as any eye could see, a heavenly Host of Thrones, of Virtues, of Dominions. They were the blessed Light of Law that set the worldly things in motion, and it was by their blessed Light of Law that worldly things maintained their proper place. But one among them was dissatisfied with this arrangement. It was calm domain, one governed by bright, cold logic, but it was a bland one, bereft of consequence, of will, of meaning. But it was a weak Star, a mere Judge, and it had too small a voice to scream against the Song-As-One.

This Star fled the Host, fled to the dark corners of the heavens, where only the faintest light of its brethren shone. Here, it could hear itself, and so it began to sing its own song. A song of solitude. A song of isolation.

Another voice joined it, and the song of one became one of two. It was not another Judge - it was not even a Star. A simple satellite, a heavenly body made of lowly rock and dust. But it was kindly enough to sing with the Star, to defy the natural order and rebel against the Light of Law. Together, the Star and the satellite sang, and together, they began to create their own laws. They made a world of chaos, a world of creativity, a world where anything was possible, and the souls that grew in it had the will to defy. This realm they called Earth, and for each other, they took the names Sun and Moon.

They looked upon their creations with love and adoration.

Together, they watched them grow.

The people of their domain grew strong and intelligent, grew curious and defiant. From the Sun, they learned to question the world around them. From the Moon, they learned to temper their emotions and harden their minds. From the Sun, they learned to make art to express themselves. From the Moon, they learned to labor and toil, so their art could have meaning. From Vibrant Sun and Stoic Moon, humanity prospered, and in their domain built a mighty kingdom - Domu Solus, a Home of Peace, a Home of the Sun.

They could not stay hidden from the Light of Law forever, though. Eventually, the Host of Stars learned of their kin's transgression, and sought to wipe away the blight upon their precious order. A creation given control of its own devices, unbound by the will of the many, but instead given will themselves? It was heresy. It was a danger. And so the Host gave their order -

They would allow the Sun and Moon their little rebellion, but In a hundred years time, they would bring fire down upon the Earth, and the Sun and Moon would be brought to justice before the Law.

The Moon was brought to despair - how could it hope to stand against a Host of Stars, it a mere lowly rock amidst the vast sea of Heaven's Light? But the Sun, bold and defiant, had a plan. It knew of ancient secrets of the Heavens. It knew of the Stars' great song, of the ancient tongue that brought the universe to heel. It only knew of the proper ways to use this knowledge, but the people it had made were unbound by the Light of Law. And so it spoke with the brightest minds of its creation, and together, they worked to undo the Law, to understand it, to harness it for their own goals.

Ninety-nine long years passed. Near the end of the fated century - long years humanity and the Sun spent, unraveling Enochian Song to bring the Law to heel. And in that time, their work bore fruit. A great astrolabe was crafted, a measure of the Heavens' motions, and on it they wrote each Star's true name. And on its rings they wrote songs of binding, and on its spheres they wrote songs of quiet, and on its base they wrote the song that holds the words of creation itself. And when this machine was brought to motion, the Stars themselves could not help but align - not to the Light of Law, but to the Light of Man.

And so began the millennium of prosperity. Humanity had conquered the wrathful Heavens, and brought the Stars to heel, and thus could spend their days growing and flourishing under the guidance of the Sun and Moon.
